actually I dont think 480 is going that high considering that its supposed to perform only a little better then a 5870 (which im also looking at) If it does turn out to be 700 dollars, ill be going with a 5870 (which will probably have a price drop too). And if thats still not enough ill just crossfire two of them later.
Current price listed for a 480 is 700 bucks. Dont think your getting 400 for a used 285. Why myself and Maximus are looking at the 5970.

You probably will be able to run it like that. Because the game is set in newyork, and often enclosed enviroments, draw distance is reduced so your computer wont have to work as hard. Not to mention DX 11 optimizations and new tesselation technology. (Although you would need a newer card for DX 11). I have 300 dollars saved to upgrade my 285 to either a 5870 or GTX 480, so im good.

From the look of those screenies, unless they optimized the game, not even your rig will be able to run the game to see them D00Mpie at that level of resolution.
